There are many layers of meaning to this manaʻo…for starters liʻu is the like the ono of the salt. Anakala Eddie Kaanana shared with us that the paʻakai is our kupuna knowledge. ʻAʻole o kana mai…is a poetic way of saying wow, super, choke!
